The Seventh Sense

Today,Sunday 13th January 2008, was not a normal day in my life. I had an experience which I would like to share with everyone.

While crossing a street in Houston today, I saw an old blind Asian (read Chinese) man with white beard crossing street. I asked him,"Can I help you Sir?". He instead of accepting or rejecting answered,"Son, I am blind but my sixth and seventh sense will help me". I was taken back as I am aware of sixth sense, but seventh sense is not known to me. I asked him,"Sir, sorry to bother you again, but what is seventh sense?". He smiled back and as the light turned green, he offered his hand to hold. I held his hand and we crossed the street.

After we crossed the street, he said,"Charush, I know you have time and you are inquisitive enough to spend a few minutes with me to understand seventh sense". I was shocked by listening to my name from this blind man as I have never met him before and neither have I told him my name. I moved a step away from him, but still his hand holding mine. As if reading my mind and understanding my feelings, he said,"Do not be scared my child! It is sixth sense by which I know about you. It was just an example to show you the basic sixth sense."

I was not able to trust him. I thought that he is a fraud person and just here to loot me. But my heart was saying to trust him; today will be a day when you will learn a important thing in life. I do not know why I listened to my heart at that time.

We sat on a bench at the bus stop and he said,"I am not blind by birth but by choice. I was born with two beautiful eyes to see good things only. But I was not able to see violence and death. One day I asked God that either take my eyes away or make this earth a peaceful and happy place. The other day I met an accident and lost my both eyes. That night in my sleep God came and told me that time has not yet come to make your other wish happen but as per your wish I have taken away both your eyes."

Old man's face was glowing and I was totally confused. Not able to believe whats going on. But this was just the beginning as I was yet to witness something else.

He continued,"Since that day, I have got two new senses. Sixth Sense, which you have witnessed and other is Seventh Sense. I did not realised about these senses till a long time. But many coincidences happened to make me realise."

We both were mum for a few minutes. I was silently watching him totally immersed into the words he has spoken till now, but now he was totally quiet. I was getting impatient by each second. I bent to pick a small stone from ground.

When I was up, the old man was missing from the bench. He was standing at the opposite side of the road from where we have started. And in another blink he was sitting next to me again. Then he spoke again,"This is Seventh Sense. To be at a place where you want to be, no constraint of space and time."

Before I can say another thing he was gone again. I waited for more than an hour at that place to talk to him again. But he did not came back.....

P.S. This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to any person living or dead.......

Njoy!!

During school and college days, I just used to jump into water on street and enjoy the water splash out. It used be fun. And moreover I used to enjoy that

Now, behaving as civilised human being or Grown Up person, it does not seem a decent way to do this kind of activity. It does not seem decent to have fun. I does not seem decent to enjoy your life.

Come on.. jump into water.. enjoy the life as one used to do in childhood days.

Automagically

This is the word, which I learnt from my colleague. She defines it as a word which can be used to explain to a computer-illiterate to showcase how a program works.

Usage: After running this program, all data is automagically updated in database.

To a outside person, a computer program is like a black-box. He doesnt know whats in it, but he does know given a set of instructions it will perform a desired task.
